Abstract
Abstract :
@EN This work was conducted to evaluate the distribution of fungi in chicken yard and in dairy farm in Chejudo, with special reference to the pathogenicity of Aspergillus fumigatus in rats. The fungi samples were collected on potato-dextrose agar
for 30
minutes.
The fungi confirmed in this survey were Aspergillus fumigatus, A flavus, A. versicolor, A. niger, Alternaria sp., Acremonium sp., Cladosporidium sp., Epicoccum sp., Fusarium sp., Geotrichum sp., Mucor sp., Penicillium sp., Rhizopus sp..
Among these fungi, pathogenicity of Aspergillus fumigatus was tested in Lewis rats, because this has been known as a contagious agent in animals and in human. Aspergillus fumigatus. Which was intravenously inoculated in the form of spore
suspension(104-108) in Lewis rats, was recovered in live,r lungs, kidneys, heart and brain of experimentally challanged animals. Histological findings of these organs showed that budding and growing hyphae of fungi was easily seen in the liver of
rats
inoculated with 10E8 spores.
These findings suggest that both highly contagious and toxin producible fungi in environment give damage in animal production of chicken yard and of dairy farm. The proper regulation of indoor environment of animals should be recommended.
